On the Issues

Our State’s economic concerns are important enough without Pay to Play politics and partisan bickering.  I voted to remove Rob Blagojevich because we deserve more from our elected officials.  That’s why I’m fighting to end the corruption tax in Illinois to prevent the people from being punished for the mistakes of a few crooked politicians.

We have already cut $3 Billion out of this year’s budget and this is a step in the right direction.  I voted to prevent a shutdown of the State Government and have continued to find ways to solve our budget crisis.  I’ve been going through the budget line by line to get rid of wasteful spending and we have made some progress, but there’s still more to be done.  I am in favor of streamlining the State’s resources and consolidating State owned/leased properties to save Illinois millions of dollars.  At the same time, we are trying to identify successful programs that will

I support the constitutional right to bear arms.

I was proud to support the first capital bill in a decade because it will create thousands of jobs.  It is imperative that we allocate the $31 Billion in the bill immediately.  The bill will provide our district with over $700,000 for municipal repairs and more than $400,000 for school improvements.
